Low lying island nations getting submerged due to climate change

Meat production is one of the major causes of climate change and it is causing many island nations in the pacific and many Andaman islands in Indian ocean to submerge. Imagine what it means for us if our major cities and the entire nation gets submerged in the sea. This is what is happening to the residents of these Island nations.

Hindu Council has been supporting Eat Less Meat campaign to save the environment. Mr Vijai Singhal attended a forum on “Rising Seas: Climate Change and the Pacific” organised by the Pacific Climate Watch where the past President of the Pacific island Kiribati, Mr Anote Tong spoke about the current position of the low lying island nations getting submerged due to climate change.
