Program:

  • Vedic Chanting by Sri Sarada Math Nuns
  • Panel Discussion: Swami Vivekananda – Bridge Builder between East and West, Past and Future.
With Robert Grant, Prema Menon & Ruthrun Selvarajan.
Vivekananda recognized that the East and the West have much to offer each other. During his lecture tours of the West in the late 19th Century, he found the West lacked spiritual depth but overflowed with innovation and conveniences, with boundless opportunities and facilities. In India, he saw a spiritually rich and sophisticated country but painfully impoverished. He dreamed of creating an ideal Society combining the best of both worlds. The Panel will explore how far Vivekananda’s dream has been realized.
  • Talk: Swami Vivekananda’s Vedanta for the Modern Age by Pravrajika Gayatriprana
