Sewa helps clean flooded homes in Lismore area

Sewa Australia has been actively helping residents of flood affected towns in Lismore and around. Each fortnight, a team of Sewa foot soldiers travel overnight in a convoy of cars/mini vans to Woodburn hub to support the needy.

The team helps clean up of flood affected homes and distributes free food and other essentials needed by the affected residents.

4th convoy of 23 volunteers will reach Lismore at 7:30am on 11th June to make a difference by contributing back to the community. This service is a result of meaningful collaboration between Friends of India (FOI) and Sewa Australia in pooling efficient team together to help fellow mates in NSW flood affected area.

The team of volunteers is also carrying relief material worth $7,500 with them.

The team started from Sydney at 9:15pm from Sydney and drive overnight to Lismore. The team will spend the day in Lismore helping the residents and then drive back all night back to Sydney.
