Recipe corner – Stir Fry Tofu

STIR FRY TOFU WITH SEASONAL VEGETABLES

Ingredients 

250 GMS Hard/Firm Tofu , Red Cabbage, Tri coloured capsicums, baby corn, Cornflour & Plain flour

 

Preparations

  • Dust the Tofu & fresh Baby corn in 2-3 tbsp Cornflour & Plain flour with couple of spoons of water so that the flour can stick on the tofu & corn.
  • Sprinkle some herbs, salt, peppercorn and chilli flakes to the above & then stir try it in the flat bottom pan. Put the toasted Tofu aside in the plate & let it cool.
  • Then stir try Broccoli, capsicums and red cabbage separately in the same pan with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Cut capsicums and red cabbage in diced shape.
  • Transfer the vegetables in the same plate & let it cool.
  • Now in a separate bowl mix 1.5 Tablespoon of corn flour & Plain flour with ½ cup water to make into a paste consistency.
  • Add salt, pepper, soya sauce, chilli sauce, ginger powder, 1 tsp of sugar, 1 tbsp of Vinegar in the above and mix it well. Now take 2 spoons of olive oil & add this paste in the same pan.
  • Bring it to boil and keep stirring. Add some more water as the gravy thickens. Now add all the stir Fried Vegetables and Tofu to the gravy and let with heat for 1-2 minutes.

Sprinkle cilantro on top and serve this enticing dish hot with Sourdough bread to your family.
