JEWISH COMMUNITY CONDEMNS DESECRATION OF HINDU TEMPLE IN NSW

The NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, the peak body of the NSW Jewish community, decries the vandalism of the
BAPS Swaminarayan temple in Rosehill.

In a statement on Monday, NSW Jewish Board of Deputies CEO Darren Bark said: “The NSW Jewish community
stands with the Hindu community at this time and condemns in the strongest possible terms this appalling act of
vandalism.

“No matter our background, our faith or the language we speak, everyone should feel safe practicing their religion
in our cohesive, multicultural state. Hate has no place in NSW.

“We are grateful to the NSW Police Force for swiftly investigating this incident, and hope the perpetrators are
caught and brought to justice.”
