Jai Shri Krishna!!
Darwin celebrated Shri Krishna Janamshtami last weekend (8 September 19). It was a fun event attended by more than 200 people from European and Indian backgrounds. The 3-hour program got everyone involved in signing and chanting of Bhajans and Shlokas to live music provided by special guests from Sydney. Hindu Council of Australia was a major sponsor of the event organized by the Australian School of Meditation & Yoga.
Home cooked vegetarian food followed the joyful Kirtan and Arti. A wonderful event overall and people are looking forward to the next event.
