Deepavali festivities to feature light-up, Indian festival dance competition to begin with
Something for everyone even as festivities take place for a second year amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Hindu Council of Australia will kick off its Deepavali 2021 line-up of online and hybrid activities on October 25 – the highlight of which will be the traditional light-up to commence competitions such as a festival theme dance competition for multicultural community. For the first time, the celebrations here will feature five hours of performances that will be streamed on HCA FB pages. Ranging from fusion music to talk shows with speakers from India and Australia, the Deepavali show will be shot across Australia, and a segment will be broadcast by Hindu Council of Australia via Facebook page. the festivities have been organised in the hope of keeping the spirits of the Australian Indian community.
