2 day workshop for High Schoolers to learn life skills by shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharmapur

Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD) Australia is conducting a 2-day workshop on 6th and 7th October for High school students with an opportunity to learn life skills.

In the dynamic and rapidly changing world we live in, teenagers are facing a multitude of challenges and opportunities
that require a solid foundation of life skills. Developed by Shrimad Rajchandra Divinetouch, Sydney; the SMART workshop is designed to equip teens with essential tools and knowledge to navigate their journey into adulthood with confidence and success. This interactive and engaging workshop focuses on developing practical life skills that are often not covered in traditional education settings but are crucial for personal growth, social interactions and academic achievements.

When: Friday – Saturday, October 6 – 7; 9 am to 5 pm

Where: Max Webber Function Centre, Blacktown Library, 61 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown NSW 2148

Donation: A tax-deductible donation of $100 to SRMD will help cover the costs.

The SMART Workshop Objectives:
By the end of the SMART workshop, the teenagers will learn about:
Communication Excellence: Learn effective communication techniques, including active listening and non-verbal communication skills. Practice expressing thoughts clearly and respectfully, both in casual conversations and formal settings.
Time Management & Organisation: Master techniques for managing time efficiently, setting priorities, and organizing tasks. Understand the importance of balancing academic, social, and personal responsibilities.
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving: Develop critical thinking skills to analyse situations, make informed decisions, and solve problems creatively. Learn to approach challenges with a growth mindset.
Stress Management & Resilience: Explore strategies for managing stress, building emotional resilience, and coping with setbacks. Develop a toolkit for maintaining mental and emotional well-being.
Relationship Building & Conflict Resolution: Develop skills for building healthy relationships, resolving conflicts constructively, and practising empathy and active listening in interpersonal interactions.
Goal Setting & Motivation: Learn how to set meaningful goals, create actionable plans, and stay motivated to achieve personal and academic aspirations.
 
The SMART Workshop Format:
The workshop will be highly interactive, featuring a combination of presentations, group discussions, role-playing activities, case studies, and hands-on exercises. Real-world examples and relatable scenarios will be used to ensure teenagers can apply the concepts directly to their lives. Expert facilitators with experience in education and counselling will lead the workshop, creating a safe and inclusive environment for open dialogue and learning.
 
At the end of the workshop, the participants will receive a certificate of completion and a comprehensive resource guide summarising the key takeaways from each session.
