Maha Kumbh 2025

“Being part of a historic occasion”

Bharath Mata ki Jai

On the morning of January 23, 2025, I visited the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, UP, at 8 AM. I made a quick trip after visiting the Shirdi Sai Baba temple, eager to take the holy dip, which is believed to cleanse sins and grant Moksha.

The Kumbh occurs every 12 years, but the Maha Kumbh is a rare event that happens only once every 144 years, making this a unique opportunity. My visit was unplanned, but I truly feel it was a blessing from my Gurus, as everything unfolded like a miracle.

During my time there, Dr. Vishnu Narayan from Varanasi introduced me to Anil ji, one of our Swayam Sevaks, who was born and raised in Prayagraj and provided tremendous support. I stayed at his place.

If anyone wishes to visit Prayagraj, please reach out to Anil Ji, a wonderful man who will assist you.)

From Prayagraj Junction (the railway station), I took a shared auto rickshaw for 50 INR. Due to heavy traffic, I had to get off 1.5 km before my destination, and Anil Ji kindly picked me up on his bike.

The city was bustling with pilgrims from all over India and abroad. Floating barriers and police presence were evident every 300 meters, and they were very helpful. The government had installed sandbags extending about five feet into the confluence for safety, along with floating barriers.

I took my dip around 3 PM, and shortly after, I received a call from Pujaniya Swami Shri Chidandapuri. Following Swami’s instructions, I visited him at 7 PM in his room located in the VHP pavilion.

My heartfelt thanks go to Prime Minister Modi Ji and Chief Minister Yogi Ji for their preparations and support.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Here are some pictures.
