Hindu Council of Australia has been a steadfast friend of the Jewish Australian community and has issued a number of statements calling for an end to anti-Semitism.
H.E Amir Maimon, the Ambassador of Israel to Australia hosted a meeting with Hindu Council to thank Hindus for their support. He stated that Hindu and Jewish communities have a long history of mutual respect. He thanked the Hindu community for being among the strongest and most steadfast supporters of Australian Jews and Israel.
Hindu council acquainted the ambassador of the continuing cooperation between Australian Hindus and Australian Jews and reiterated their support.
