Hindu Council of Australia

Chaplaincy

The Hindu Council of Australia trains Hindu Chaplains annually through the Counsellor of Hindu Tradition course. We already have over 100 counsellors trained and some are working in health and correctional services as part-time volunteers.

The HCA working hard to get the CHT course recognised nationally so that our counsellors do not need to do any other courses to get paid jobs.

Our counsellors are well versed in Hindu Traditions, prayers and meditation. They are compassionate and discreet. They will work with you based on your needs and wishes.

They’ll come and meet you wherever you are, talk to you and your family if needed, keep the conversation confidential, give you emotional and social support or just be a shoulder for you to lean on.
