Trade needs maritime steel say Australian and Indian leaders ahead of CECA round

Senior leaders from both Australia and India have raised a clear message: while their bilateral trade is booming, its future depends heavily on enhanced maritime security cooperation at the Australia–India in the Indian Ocean Century symposium. This warning comes just weeks before the 11th round of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), a broader and deeper free trade agreement building on the interim ECTA framework.

HCA leadership was well represented at the symposium, with Sai Paravastu, Chirag Trivedi, and Prakash Mehta participating to share insights and strengthen community engagement
