Nothing speaks more strongly of unity and social cohesion than diverse and marginalised communities coming together to stand up for Australian values in the face of terrorism.
On 6th July 2025, Australians from Christian, Hindu, Iranian, Jewish, and other communities gathered in a powerful show of solidarity at the ‘United Against Terror’ rallies held simultaneously in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. The rallies were a tribute to the victims of the October 7 Hamas massacre in Israel, the ongoing persecution of dissidents and minorities in Iran, and the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack in India.
Several thousand people came together, transcending faith and background, to raise their voices
against terrorism, hatred, and violence. The rallies were attended and supported by over 15 Australian organisations, including the Hindu Council of Australia, standing side by side in defence of human rights, peace, and freedom.
Visuals from the events captured the diversity of the Australian spirit, with Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Iranian, and other Australians standing shoulder to shoulder. The collective message was clear: terror has no place in any society, and Australians will always rise to uphold the values of pluralism, justice, and mutual respect.
AFERMB and participating communities thank all supporters and call for continued vigilance and unity in the global fight against extremism.
