Hindu Council of Australia runs a number of programs for students. For those studying in state schools of the state of New South wales, we provide voluntary teachers to state schools to impart SRE (Special religious education) on Hinduism to students in years 8, 9 and 10. You can get more details by clicking here.
We provide free online courses on Hinduism. Interested students can study at their own home at their own pace and upon passing objective type quiz, they can get a certificate of having completed the course. You can take up the courses by clicking here.
For University going students, we run a Student Connect program whereby we connect students with the local community. We can also provide Hindu Chaplains to provide spiritual guidance to students facing difficulties.
We also run a 9-month Saturday/Sunday Graduate Certificate/Diploma Course in Counsellor of Hindu Tradition (CHT) course which will make you a trained volunteer for community service. Click here to find out more.
To determine the needs of University students, we urge all University going students who need some help from Hindu Council of Australia to take up a survey, click here for a survey.
