Is your temple facing difficulties for getting visa for priests and saints

Hindu Council of Australia has made representations to the Immigration office to make religious visa more in line with our community needs. We have also formed a Peer to Peer support group which consists of temple representatives who have had some experience in obtaining religious visa for their own temples. These members are available for learning how various temples have gone about getting religious visas and they are happy to share their experience with you.

The immigration peer to peer support cell has following members :

Jagdish Chawla
Kunal Patel – BAPS
Renga Rajan – Ayyappa temple
Khimji Vaghjiani – ISSO (Swaminarayan)
Jay Raman – Sri Om Foundation
Surinder Jain

The cell is not a migration agent and is not an advisory body. It will provide a forum for peer to peer consultation and support between different temples applying for priests visa. The cell can be reached via email address religiousvisasteam @ hinducouncil.com.au

If a particular temple is facing visa issues like road blocks in the immigration office or have advice on how to make the whole process easier, please advice them to get in contact with (surinder @ hinducouncil.com.au) so that I can arrange a meeting between the temple and the right people in the immigration office.
