Hear Community Leaders in many languages urging our communities to stay home

Message from the Hon. Natalie Ward MLC, Minister for Multiculturalism & Joseph La Posta, CEO Multicultural NSW
Right now, Greater Sydney is on high alert for COVID-19. In order to protect our community, we are asking you to stay at home unless it is absolutely essential to leave the house. The only reasons you can leave home include shopping for food, medical care, exercise, or essential work and education. You can leave home to get a COVID test or get vaccinated.

We are working closely with our Community Leaders to disseminate information and are asking everyone to help stop the spread. Here is Dr Alvina Ng from the Emergency Department at Auburn Hospital speaking in Mandarin https://youtu.be/1fxN6UuR8sQ

COVID-19 is very serious. Remember:

  • Masks must be worn when indoors, except at home.
  • You should not have visitors to your house. This includes family members outside of your household.
  • Everyone in your family should get tested if unwell, or they are a close or casual contact.

Social media resources about the stay at home orders, including no visitors in the home are available in almost 60 languages here.

We ask that you please share these video and social media resources widely with your communities and networks.

Thank you for your continued leadership and support in keeping our community safe.

The Hon Natalie Ward MLC
Minister for Sport, Multiculturalism, Seniors and Veterans

Joseph La Posta
CEO, Multicultural NSW
