HBF had raised an appeal to pay for the funeral expenses of a Mom ailing with cancer in Hospital.
Hindu Benevolent fund – help needed for Funeral expenses.
We are sad to report that Mum has passed away and the money collected by HBF for this purpose, $2,000 is/has been paid towards the funeral expenses.

The family of the Mum is very grateful to everyone and HBF who have helped and has following to say :
Out of my heart I thank both of u (Ashwani Sharma and Ajay Khanna) and yr great organisation (Hindu Benevolent Fund of Hindu Council of Australia) for yr grateful timely help and came all the way to hospital to see my mum and also taking her blessings. A friend in need is friend indeed.
This is what ur organisation had done to me and my mum…a timely help which I am sure my mum from heaven will bless all the members of yr great organisation. Losing a mother is not an easy experience which I am still coming to terms. Today is 7th day and don’t know how one week went off. Today I got the Ashes from the funeral directors and did all the rituals for the same. Started my rituals for my mother from 5th day and doing daily and will continue till 12th day and 13th day I hv to do a proper pooja and a homam after which I hv to 16 thithis monthly in according to the star when my mum passed away before I do the 1st yearly ritual…
