WA Chapter (Perth)

A WA chapter of Hindu Council of Australia has been established on 12th March 2018. First program will be to welcome HH Mahant Swami of BAPS by all Hindu Organisations. HCA WA chapter will lead this program to establish relation with other Hindu Organisations in WA. Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, Perth

Hindu Community Institute of Hindu Council of Australia

Hindu Community Institute of Hindu Council of Australia offers courses on Hinduism. It offers an online certificate course on Introduction to Hinduism and a graduate course in Counselor of Hindu Tradition (CHT), in conjunction with Hindu Community Institute of California (http://hinduci.org/learn)

Paad Yatra or Walkathon to Temple

It is a HINDU tradition to “walk to a pilgrim” on special events / occasions and during in some festive seasons. it is known as “PAADA YATRA” and this is a general practice in HINDUISM and this is done across in Bharath i.e. INDIA. Festival Celebrations

Hindu Council celebrates following Festivals with the community : Deepavali Holi Janamashtami Sri Sitarama Kalyanam Deepawali and Annakut Celebrations are held in the Australian Parliament House, Canberra every year. Gargi Award to Outstanding Women

On the International day of women 2018, Hindu Council of Australia has decided to institute an award for outstanding women in Australia who make a good role model for growing up Hindu girls and women. The award will consist of a commendation letter and will be awarded in multiple categories like Sports, Journalism, Performers, Defense, Community Carers, Home Carers, Seniors

SRE – Teaching Hinduism in schools

The Hindu Council of Australia is a registered provider of Hindu religious instruction as part of the Special Religious Education (SRE) classes in NSW State Secondary Schools.  Students from any religious and cultural background are welcome to attend with the permission of their parents.  Our classes provides the opportunity for students to connect with their rich spiritual and cultural heritage

Karma Kitchen

"KARMA KITCHEN" is an initiative taken by Hindu Council Australia to distribute free food to homeless and needy people in our society, joining hands with interagency a network of community services, such as Mission Australia and Parramatta mission. Karma Kitchen is supported by local community organizations such as Letsgive Hope Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh-Sydney Friends of India Australia and Sri Om

Hindu Benevolent Fund

Hindu Council of Australia has taken an initiative to open a Hindu Benevolent Fund and has launched Hindu Benevolent Fund (HBF) in the Deepavali festival in Oct 2017. HBF is a Hindu Council's  community initiative to have a benevolent fund to provide financial support to individuals and families in dire need of financial help to meet their day to day
