Small group of conference organisers is looking forward to welcoming quite a few people that haven’t met before as well as old friends. People from various parts of WA, Canberra, Queensland, Victoria, SA and of course NSW are taking the time to come. With the high quality speakers and presenters, it’s going to be an amazing experience! If there’s a chance you can make it, don’t miss out!
Please understand registration is essential, mainly for catering purposes. So please book now. The week leading up to the weekend of 4 – 6 October will be too late. See here for more information and to register: https://www.arrcc.org.au/conference
Earth Wisdom – Hope in Action:The ARRCC Conference will be an opportunity like no other. People of all faiths are coming together – Indigenous, Hindu, Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Muslim, Jewish – from across the country to learn about just how we can make a difference to the climate crisis. We will pray and meditate together, hear from some of the best minds in the climate movement, and simply spend time with others who truly get it. The deadline to register is Sunday, 29th September. The caterers need to know numbers for each day. Organisers also need to match people seeking accommodation with their hosts, and other details. You’re welcome to come along for all or part of the Conference. See here for more information and to register: https://www.arrcc.org.au/conferenceFull Conference cost is $250, concession $130; live streaming of sessions in the main hall only $40. After the Conference dinner on Saturday evening, we will enjoy diverse and brilliantly talented performers of music and poetry. For just $20, it is possible to book for the Saturday evening only. We have lined up top class speakers and workshop presenters but, for this to be a great success, we now need supporters to attend. Join us in spirit from wherever you are. Please sign to help save the BeetalooAPA is a major Australian gas pipeline company and one of the only companies that could light the fuse on this carbon bomb by building the pipelines needed to transport fracked gas from the Beetaloo. APA has already signed initial agreements to support the first phase of Empire and Tamboran’s plans, but we’re building a movement to stop APA from developing the large-scale pipelines that would unleash the Beetaloo’s massive climate-wrecking emissions. Will you raise your voice and add your name to Market Forces’ open letter, which already has the backing of 16 other advocacy organisations, including ARRCC? Here’s the link to the letter. If (and only if) you’re a UniSuper member, you can also sign here. Faith leaders’ video statementIn case you missed this last week, here’s the video statement by senior faith leaders and a student of Our Lady of Mercy College, Parramatta. It was coordinated by ARRCC. The link will go to the YouTube version. Please share it widely with #Faiths4
