It was a proud and momentous occasion for the Hindu Council of Australia QLD (HCA) to be invited to a special reception at the Queensland Parliament, hosted by Premier Hon Steven Miles for the Indian community.
This prestigious event, which brought together Consul General of India (Brisbane) Mrs Neetu Bhagotia and Indian community leaders, provided a unique platform for HCA to represent the Hindu community in Queensland, showcasing its contributions to the state’s multicultural fabric.
The reception served as a significant recognition of the growing presence and positive impact of Hindus in Queensland, reflecting the values of diversity, inclusion, and mutual respect that are at the core of our state’s identity. For the HCA, being a part of this event was not only a celebration of the rich heritage and cultural traditions of Hindu Dharma but also a testament to our ongoing efforts in promoting interfaith dialogue, community cohesion, and cultural understanding. It underscored the commitment of the Queensland Government to support and engage with all communities, ensuring their voices are heard and valued in the broader socio-political landscape. The HCA is honoured to have been a part of this important gathering, reaffirming our dedication to serving and representing the Hindu community with pride and integrity.”
