Samajik Samrasta Meet held in Western Australia

Samajik Samrasta Meet held at Perth by HSS and HCA(WA), Wednesday, 14 Nov 18.

The Hindu Swaymsewak Sangh of WA organised  “Samajik Samrasta” , ie “Living in Harmony” meet at Scarborough,  WA, on 14 Nov 18. The meet was attended by fifty nine representatives of twenty nine groups of various Hindu community organisations operating in Perth region. These organisations have significant presence and contribute to message of world peace by Hindu way of life.

The meeting was addressed by Dr Manmohan Vaidya, current All India Joint General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, a leading Hindu organisation of India. Dr Vaidya, a doctorate in Radio Chemistry (Nuclear Science), dwelled upon the wider outlook of Hindu philosophy. He told the audience how different Hindu community could work in harmony despite different approaches to way of worships as the core belief of Hindu ideology has always been peaceful world order.

He applauded these community groups for their contribution to society and called upon them to work together for a greater cause while working within their own spheres. He quoted Hindu scriptures and poets to explain the need for unity in diversity. He emphasised that in today’s world of turmoil and violence, Hindu philosophy can play a vital role in bringing peace and prosperity for humankind. Hindus have never believed in domination of others as they believes that all paths of spirituality are correct in their own ways and we need to respect each other rather than just “tolerate”

Other key note speaker Mr Soumitra Gokhle, an MS in Mechanical Engineering, is International Coordinator of Hindu Swaymsevak Sangh. Mr Gokhle apprised the gathering about activities of the HSS at international level. He told that Hindu diaspora has a significant word wide presence which was not much organised till few decades earlier. But now, the Hindu community is getting organised and realising its potential to impact world order positively and bring peace and prosperity  for all. He briefed the meet about recent World Hindu Congress held at Chicago which was attended by delegates from all over the world. He told that not only social but economical and ideological organisation of Hindus worldwide was being carried out through relentless efforts of HSS volunteers.

The meeting ended with a questions being asked by various community leaders about Hindu way of life and present activities of HSS and RSS. It was concluded with a community dinner.
