We have a very wonderful piece of news to share with you.
ISKCON Sydney has been successful in it’s application for the ‘My Community Project’ grant of $200,000. As yo would be aware that “My Community Project” is a new initiative by the NSW Government to improve the well being of people and communities in NSW.
The success of the application depended on votes from within the electorate of Willoughby (our local electorate). Considering much of our congregation comes from outside this electorate, we can see how much incredible support we have in the local area. Thanks to our wonderful and supportive members of this locality. This is a real achievement.
We look forward to welcoming and serving every single person who come to our facility.
We would like to express sincere thanks to you all for supporting this initiative and helping us in getting overwhelming response by voting for this project and winning this huge sum of $200,000 for Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha temple.
We also would like to thank the team of devotees comprised of: Mohit Prabhu, Jagdish Prabhu, Rupam Prabhu, Asseem Prabhu, Ghanashyam Govinda Prabhu, Shubh Krishna Prabhu and Venkat Madhava Prabhu for their hard work in this initiative. We have received this timely and opportune blessing as we continue to dream big in the service of Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha and Jagad Guru Srila Prabhupada.
The granted funds will now be used for the construction of new facilities and renovation of our existing kitchen to facilitate our FOOD FOR LIFE programme and be more accessible to our local community, especially in North Shore area. In addition to providing yoga, meditation and counselling services, this project will also help us expand our food distribution programme to many many more people especially in North Sydney and all the surrounding suburbs in this electorate.
This is a great beginning and there will be many more such occasions where your help will be needed in the near future to make our Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha temple a great home for the entire Sydney Congregation with many facilities for conducting Krishna Consciousness activities. We are confident that with your continued support we shall be able to achieve many milestones with ease.
