Anzac Day celebrations in Canberra

Hindu Council of Australia represented by its National President Mr Prakash Mehta, attended ” Australian Jewish ANZAC Day Service” at National Jewish Memorial Centre in Canberra. The Ceremony was attended by a many few multi-faith religious leaders, by the Ambassador of Israel to Australia, by ACT leader of opposition and many other dugnatories.

The program commenced with the unfurling of the flag, Australian National Anthem, a welcome speech by Rabbi Shimon, followed by prayers for Australia, prayer for Australian Defence force, prayer for Remembrance, a speech by Mr Mark Sofer, Ambassador of Israel and a speech by Mr Alister Coe, MLA , Leader of Opposition. The program concluded with a minute of silence for the fallen Anzac heroes.
